The MPFD opened its doors in 1952. Since then, it has become one of the cores of the Miller Place community.  Responding to over 1,000 calls each year, the volunteers of the MPFD are on call 24/7 365 days a year. We are always looking for men and women of all ages to volunteer with us. PJVAC provides pre-hospital critical care and transport for the sick and injured within the communities of Belle Terre, Mt. Sinai, and Port Jefferson.  In addition, it offers continuing education and outreach related to safety and wellness in the community.  Volunteer and paid position information can be found on our website.

RPFD serves the communities of Rocky Point and Shoreham and covers 6800 acre of the NYS Forest Preserve.  It has 3 stations and serves a population of about 30,000 people for fire and ambulance service.

The mission of the Sound Beach Fire Department is to preserve lives and property in our community by providing services directed at the prevention and control of fires, accidents, and other emergencies, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness.

The Terryville Fire Department is a volunteer fire department with a 24 hour paid EMS response. The district covers an area of approximately twelve square miles and protects about 35,000 residents. The department has three companies which respond out of three stations.
